Produktbeschreibung

From October 25 to 26, 2016, the fourth international conference on practical applications of Building Information Modeling (BIM) based simulations in the construction industry took place – the Lake Constance 5D-Conference 2016. In contrast to many other central business sectors the normative piece prices – and with that – the productivity has been stagnating in civil engineering for the past few years. This is a clear indication that production management is not being sufficiently implemented. This consists of modern methods of a cooperative production management and a consistent digital process chain that begins with the planning phase of a product, continues onto its production and operation of production sites and includes maintenance of the product. The necessary technological basis for the total life cycle oriented digital chain in the form of Building Information Modeling (BIM) is also under further development. This basis allows to apply further 5D-simulations to give fast and precise information about expected results of possible alternative actions, for example due to variations of costs, building time, or sustainability.
